Peck & Bushel-Organi Fruit Company
Joe and Jenny Fahey, born and raised in Wisconsin, never imagined farming as their calling. Joe, a nuclear medical technologist, and Jenny, a CPA, built busy careers while raising their children, Abby and Charlie. When Joe sold his medical staffing company, he turned his chemistry expertise to a new challenge: growing organic apples in Wisconsin, despite skeptics claiming it couldn’t be done. Starting with 14 backyard trees, Joe proved them wrong, producing exceptional fruit that inspired a bigger vision.
In 2009, the Fahey's purchased an 80-acre former corn and soybean field, transforming it into a thriving certified organic apple orchard. Today, Peck & Bushel grows over 35 apple varieties and manages 50,000 dwarf fruit trees on a vineyard-like trellis system, making harvesting easier and sustainable. From their farm, they press fresh organic cider, bake homemade pies, and craft a variety of apple products, all with their own organically grown fruit.
What began as a hobby has blossomed into a family business dedicated to growing great-tasting, organic fruit for the community.
